I have lived in Ohio, Italy, Washington, D.C., Massachusetts, and for the last 32 years, in San Diego. My daughter makes a compelling case for moving back to Massachusetts, but so far winters in San Diego are difficult to give up. I have worked as a Montessori teacher (10 years), as a technical writer (10 years), and as a dirt slinger on an archaeology dig, where I learned how to sharpen a chain saw and match up pot sherds. I raised two terrific children who are all grown up now. I am a swimmer — (thank you San Diego for letting us swim year-round) — and enjoy beach walking. I have a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.A. from Alliant International University in marriage and family therapy, which has allowed me to work with neurodiverse children and adults.
